I'm going to be a freshman in fall 2011 and was wondering if there were any classes that people think are really fun/a must take. Like I know USC has a course just about being happy and finding out out what makes you happy. Or another college has a cooking class that was really fun and filled up really fast. I'm going to double major in biology and theatre, if that helps.

Thermodynamics. I hear that it is a must take…

Haha especially if you wanna lower your GPA

I would focus on getting some of your requirements out of the way, and try to focus on classes that fulfill multiple requirements. I would also recommend starting foreign language classes as early as possible, if you need them.

Really just take the time to look at classes that you think might be interesting, as well. I took a class called US on an Immigrant Planet my freshman year, which ended up being an 8 person class and really laid the foundation for my entire four years of study. Sometimes its just luck.

Also, Freshman Seminars are usually good to look at - friends of mine took a class all about Mars, for example - but make sure you look at the amount of work expected and the amount of credits, as some Seminars require significant work and provide only 1-2 credits. Also, another class that is popular is Greek and Roman Mythology.
