im going to mhc in the fall and i just wanted to know when exactly i wud register for classes?

also, is there like a certain requirement as to which classes im supposed to take at a certain time?

my ideal schedule is to fulfill my math requirement, fulfill either one soc. science/humanities requirement, start a new language, take a phys. ed class, and take a ballet class

is this possible?

In a nutshell, you need 6 PE units, a math/sci req, a soc. science req, a humanities req, a language req, a multicultural requirement, etc.

Math - 4 credits
Soc Science OR humanities (2 dif reqs)- 4 credits (*2 if both)
Language - 4 credits
Ballet I/II/III/IV- 2 credits
Phys Ed - NO academic credit

You can definitely do it! Good luck and welcome to Mount Holyoke. You will apply in ~end of May, but the course catalogue (cat.mtholyoke.edu) should be up earlier... in April or late March maybe.

You register in early June. I think you should take 4 academic classes. To be fair, I don't know how intense the ballet class would be. Perhaps that would be a reasonable replacement for an academic class. Dance is a separate department, after all. I don't know, but you'll probably want to sign up for 4 academic classes (plus the gym and ballet) anyway, just in case your adviser tells you to take another academic course. If so, she may tell you to hold off on the gym. Your adviser will meet with you during orientation, so all of this will work out, don't worry. :)

Oh, and, no, you don't have to fulfill your requirements in any specific order. Most people take a gym and four academic classes their first semester.
