is this a decent courseload?

i signed up for elem french 1, global economy seminar, intro to gender studies and intro to 19th cent. critical social thought and im wondering if all these classes put together will be extremely difficult to handle during my first term at MHC? advice anyone???

It seems like a pretty typical schedule, although, if you’re not really interested in CST, I wouldn’t take that class your first semester.

thanks alot and yeaa i am interested in CST actually, im just wondering if taking two intro classes for my first semester is a bit much?

No, it isn’t. Personally, I only took one intro class my first semester at MHC and I wish I had taken more. Intro classes are much easier and you learn such a broad range of stuff. Technically, you are taking 3 intro classes if the global economy seminar is a first year seminar. The greatest thing for first years are first year seminars, so take advantage of that. Although you can only take one per semester, I would take one your second semester as well. Are you going to do a gym your first year? If you are not doing it your first semester, try to take a gym class over J-Term – believe me, it is something that you will regret later on if you don’t start this early. I started my gym requirement in my sophomore year and I still have 2 credits left (rising senior). You don’t want to end up like me!

thanks alot
i waitlisted myself for beginners swimming but if i dont get into that i think ill either take it during j-term or in the spring semester. Its just that the classes that i wanted have all been filled up for the fall. and yes global economy is a first year seminar but its something i reallyyy want to take so I think ill stick with it XD
