Psychology Major. WAS a bio minor.
UCI. (quarter system ABC)</p>
<p>pre-reqs I have finished:
1 year of gen chem w/ labs
1 year of physics w/ labs
1 year of bio (ABD)
2 qtrs of writing *should I take poetry this qtr? ^_^
1 qtr of multivar calculus
AP credit for calculus AB + BC
AP credit for stats</p>
<p>need 1 year bio labs (ABC)
need 1 year o-chem w/ labs (ABC)</p>
<p>So the California budget crisis is making it more tough for me to get my pre-med req classes done in 4 years. Classes are being MORE restricted to majors so I can't take O-chem this fall quarter. I went to see my counselor and the end result was that I have to take O-chem winter, spring, and summer/fall 2010. As a result, this will push my 2nd bio core another year. So here's how my new schedule will look like (assuming no more cuts):</p>
<p>*note: need OCHEM ABC to take 2nd bio core (DEF). Need bio DEF to take bio labs ABC.</p>

Winter 2010 - OCHEM A and lab
Spring 2010 - OCHEM B and lab
Summer 2010 - BIO LAB A, OCHEM C w/ lab
Fall 2010 -
Winter 2011 - biochemistry (BIO E)
Spring 2011 - molecular bio (BIO F)
Summer/fall 2011 - Graduate and teach abroad for a year because I want to.
Summer/fall 2012 - Take 2 bio labs at a community college (BIO LAB B + C) while applying to med schools.
Fall 2013 - Start med school</p>

<p>Yes I know med schools don't really like it when you take your science pre-reqs over summer especially at a community college but I don't think I have a choice now?</p>
