Class Size & the city of Eugene

What are your experiences with class size? I'm hoping to be able to get to know my professors and not just be a face in the crowd.

Also, is there a lot to do in Eugene? I know there is lots of nature, but what about music, city events, etc?

Eugene is the coolest place to go to school ever. It's very green and the campus is gorgeous. There are lots of music venues with good bands that roll through often, lots of activities on the weekends, and the town is very lively.

Eugene is reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally boring imo

Why so StevenSeagal?

Mainly because I'm not into outdoor stuff, and if you don't like outdoor stuff, then you could have trouble finding things to do. There's a farmers' market that's pretty big here, but to be honest a lot of the stuff that isn't food is junk. The symphony only plays about once a month which is kind of a drag too. If you like nature a lot though, then Eugene is the place to be.

thanks... it seems that outdoor stuff and Duck sports dictate whether or not you'll be happy at U of O right?

I can't say because I don't attend U of O (I live in Eugene though), but a student could always take up a bus to Portland for the day if he/she was really bored. I'm sure that they would be occupied by clubs and studying too though

and the weather?

It's alright if you don't mind overcast
