I want to transfer for UCLA or UCB for fall 2010. ( I am a international studetn in a ccc)
I checked the website of them, it seems the application is due like november.
Is it true that the final GPA in Fall 2009 is the one UCs will consider? even though I still have some preq. classes which need to be done in 2010 winter and 2010 spring.
If it is true, would I choose those easier classes before I transer??
Cos I am quite worried abt the GPA and I am not sure abt which GPA would the UCs consider.

You submit your application in November, but in February you get the chance to update your GPA so if your winter classes are done by then, then those count as well.

Let say if my GPA actually get lower in Winter,
Can I conceal it and not update my GPA to them??
How abt are spring , do I have a chance to update?
Those course I gonna take in spring are preq.,
so I should leave those hardest classes at the end cos they dun count for the GPA to apply??
One more thing, when can I know if I am admitted or not?

Sorry for so many question...but I am nervous abt it vy much.

This is called immoral activity; you risk losing admission to all UC's.

Results usually come in by the end of April

if your major is impacted and you're missing 2-3 or even more pre-reqs , they might hold you to having a high gpa in the spring semester. Anywhere from 3.5-3.8, again depending on the major and the amount of pre-reqs that you're taking in spring.

if you look around i recall of someone having to have a 3.8 gpa for the spring semester , he/she was taking 3 pre-reqs but I do not recall of the major. You can find it if you do some searching.

Well technically you could but it would be considered fraudulent. You're supposed to submit all of your transcripts. If you're accepted you're going to have to submit your transcripts and if they find out, your admission can be rescinded. Save the easiest classes for these intersessions like winter and summer. Take your hardest classes in the spring but don't take them all at once. Try and do one or two hard courses a semester or else you'll be overloaded that last semester.

The way I've done it is one math, one hard/time-consuming course, and two or three fillers. My Summer looked like this: Math, Stats, Art, Computers . For winter I did Intro to Soc and Critical Thinking

IC...
Actually I am psychology major.

At leave wt GPA should I maintain at Fall 2009 inorder to fill the application?

UCLA psych is competitive, aim for 3.7+

thx, dose TAP works for international student?

Are international students (F-1 and H-4 visa status) eligible for TAP?

International students are reviewed separately. They can participate in TAP and be certified. Their TAP status is considered when UCLA makes admission decisions, but international students are not considered in the same way as domestic students. Significantly fewer international students are admitted overall than domestic students.
