At KP do you attend the same classes everyday? Also besides sports is there time to workout? Is there even a weight gym at the academy? Thanks

No. Yes. Are you kidding? Of course.

lol ya i suppose that was a stupid question but you never no and how do the classes work how often do you go to the same class?

It depends on the class and how many credit hours that class is and whether it has a lab associated with it. There will be some classes you go to once a week, some twice a week, some three times a week, etc. If you have a lab associated with the class you may go to it twice on one day.

I wouldn't worry about it to be honest. Your schedule will be in your mailbox at the end of Indoc and you simply follow it. Rinse and repeat for the next four years.

My son is a Plebe this year and you have a section. You have the same schedule as 12 to 16 others. But even then there are differences with a professor only having half of the section for a period and half another.

It is nice that you don't worry about picking a schedule. Also you are issued all books that are needed for the classes.

Good Luck,

CPASteve

Well thats good to hear. I forget why but for some reason I had the idea that you took the same classes everyday just like in high school. I no that would be horrible but it is what I have been thinking all along. lol but also if at KP you are so bussy how do you ever have time to workout? Or when do you at 4am lol?

You are not so busy that you don't have time to work out. If you sit at your computer all afternoon and go on Facebook, internet, whatever it is you do...then you won't have time to workout. People say the load is heavy and so demanding...I donno I guess it's not great, but I don't really notice. Maybe it is because I am so used to it after a few years or maybe it's cause it really isn't.

I'm in band, play a varsity sport, I workout 3+ times a week, and I'm a systems major. I could put more time into my studies, but I still find hours of every day to waste and maintain a gpa just over 3.0. So maybe it's not that bad...or I'm just super efficient, or perhaps both.

Davy....i suspect if you think back to the beginning maybe you thought it was a "tad" hard, and I bet you've become extremely efficient. I've found, from my son, that "efficiency and time management" are essential tools for KP :) especially as a systems major. I've heard that deck majors have a little more free time, but don't know if that's really true..of course I'm biased toward systems majors ...grin grin grin...
