classes/quick question

I was not sure where to post this question so I came to this board. My predicament is this: I am only a junior, but I am already thinking ahead. I would like to study medicine. This would mean I would like to take all three AP science courses: AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Physics; however, the way scehduling works out only allows for 2 of the three and I'm not sure which is best for pre-med. I really love biology and the AP Biology teacher is the same teacher I had for Honors Bio. She was awesome and very challenging and I would love to have her again, especially since she has 40 years experience. The AP Chem teacher I have for Honors Chem. right now. She is really nice, although, next year will only be her second year teaching AP, but I do like Chem. I have never taken a Physics course, but we did a little physics in chem and I really don't like it and I don't know the physics teacher but I heard he's really hard. What my final question is, is: Is AP Physics necessary for studying medicine. I would take it if I could take all three, but since I can only take two, which two would be best (if it matters at all). I am leaning towards chem and bio, but would any one do differently. Thanks for your help!

Also I forgot to add....animal science is also available without intefering with the APs. Do you think that class has any value for a med student or is it more of a class for like farmers etc. It would prevent me from taking hon span 4, but what do you think is better out of those two?

for medicane you will only need chem and biology, taking physics not only seems like not what you want to do, but it is also not neccessary

go with the spanish 4...2 AP science classes is more than enough

Bio and chem are definitely important if you want to go into medicine, but the top schools would like to see that you have taken a physics course in some form (it doesnt have to be AP).

what collegegirl said is true too...some kind of physics class is good if not neccessary but it definatly doesnt have to be AP

ok thanks guys, i'll have to see what block cp physics is offered

ya morgan, idk what ur talking about physics is a HUGE part of the MCAT and its the hardest pre-med course...i would definatly suggest physics so u at least have a foundation in it.

DONT USE THOSE AP CREDITS FOR PRE-MED TAKE THE CLASSES OVER!

why not? like are the college courses much better or do you just recommend it to review and reinforce?

u wanna keep that GPA up, the pre-med courses are sufficient for the MCAT, why not take them over as a review of HS, get an amazing GPA and undertand the material better for the MCAT?

No sense it tackling the harder subjects if it has nothing to do with ur major, just take it as a review.
