Hi, I am a current freshman in Engineering planning on doing CS next year.
I took Math 215, Engineering 101, and Physics 140 in the fall.
I plan to take EECS 280, EECS 203, Math 217(Math 214 is way EASIER from what i heard, but it got filled up before even my registration started), and Engineering 100 Section 400(Solar Cell).
Is this too much? Maybe I should drop Math 217??
You are going to be one busy student! It should me manageable if you are very organized. I would see which Math 214 sections fit in your schedule and try to get an override in one of them, and add yourself to the waitlist if available.
Three technical courses is going to be extremely tough, and if EECS 203/280 are your first EECS classes, you can easily be shocked at the workload. I’d say get at least one non-math/science class in there to balance things out. You’re only a freshman, what’s the rush?
Hmu fam, I’m taking math 217 and eecs 280 too next semester. EECS 203 wasn’t too bad to be honest.
OMG I am in the exact same situation as you are! I took the same courses last semester, and am taking the same ones this semester except for a different section of engr100 (section 250). I’m also considering dropping math 217… What’s your decision?
