Classes

Ok i was wondering if i had to take a math class my first year. (im a pysch major)

me too! hehe do i need to take chem as well?

I don't have the course catalog book with me to check out the requirements of a pysch major. But, if you own a course catalog book you should be able to look up if math is required for your major, and if so, which math courses. Math should be something you should get out of the way your first year if it is needed.

it depends on what math you've already had, and whether you plan a BA or BS.

the new course catalog is now on-line

and, here are the requirements for Psych specifically -

No, you do not have to take math first year. I took math 16A 3rd quarter, but there were some sophomores in my class. You can basically take it anytime. Chemistry is a little different because usually Chem 2A is only offered during the 1st quarter and sometimes during the 2nd quarter, so you should definately take chem if you wanna start cuz if u miss it, u may have to end up waiting 1 year.
