Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated for clean, inexpensive hotel. I will not have a car so what is the best and easiest way to get from airport to BU. I want to also see Boston can I do this just with public transportation?

The Public Transportation in Boston is excellent - particularly the subway system (the “T”) - it makes it very easy to get to any part of Boston, including BU. Its very easy to understand and the costs aren’t terrible. As for cheap, clean hotels - I’m not too sure. Having lived in Boston my whole life, I’ve never actually had to stay in a hotel, and the hotels that I know of are expensive/historic, like the Parker House.

What you could do is stay in a hotel/motel in Somerville or Malden - there are T stops/stations there that bring you right into Boston.

The holiday inn is pretty nice and on beacon street (behind BU basically), it’s by kenmore too.

Just do hotwire, we stayed at the Omni for 99 a night when I took my DD a few months ago… anywhere is easy to get to the school by the T
