Hotel Near BU

I am planning ahead for graduation 2015 and wanted to know of a hotel near Boston University, preferably one that has reasonably priced suites. Something on the Green Line would be perfect. Suggestions appreciated.

Holiday Inn in Brookline.

You can find really good rates through Omni if you book early enough - I’ve seen rooms at the Parker House go for as low as 180 a night and the Parker House is splendid. Same goes for Hyatt-Regency. But that is if you’re more inclined to stay at a more upscale sort of place (which might be nice for a big event like a graduation). The MBTA keeps all of Greater Boston connected quite a bit - so if you’re out of luck finding a place smack dab in Boston that fits your budget - you can look into a lot of the accommodations in the surrounding Greater Boston area (Somerville, Cambridge, Charlestown, etc) that are accessible to BU by mass transit.

@Vlklngboy11‌ seems to be more … familiar (in more ways than one) with BU - and I know nothing of the more middling accommodations in Brookline - so I’d definitely look into that.

If you want really cheap decent accommodations and you don’t mind staying in a hostel then HI-Boston is a nice hostel in downtown Boston.

Look at Newtown its 10 minutes, or Marriott in Cambridge. There is not such thing as a cheap hotel in Boston though. I travel there on Business quite often and since I care about spending I often do Hotwire, its a great website to get hotels in a certain area as long as you do not care what property.

A quick look for April weekend next year ( you can only book 11 months in advance) shows a 449 per night hotel for 149 a night. Alo you can put in a price watcher as well. I recommend making reservations directly with a few places and you can usually cancel a certain time before and just keep wathgin rates. On Hotwire you need to pay in advance

You can get a bed for 65 dollars a night in the hosteling international by Tufts Dental. Can’t beat that, especially if you’re by yourself.
