Clemson, Chalreston, FSU, UMD, Elon, IU, UA and VT which is best acedemically?

Programs vary from school to school. You will find excellent professors at most schools and if you are a studious person seeking to be challenged you can find it anywhere. Some of those schools have a heavy party scene, despite having some famous programs. Charleston, being near the beaches, is among them.

Nothing wrong with “southern” schools. Many northerners who attend college in the south (Wake and Duke and Davidson and Furman etc) often adapt and even stay on for their careers. Its a different way of life than Boston and NYC.

State schools are different than private schools. Elon emphasizes a lot of overseas programs and also community service and internships. I like it a lot, but it is not for everybody. 'Bama and Clemson, VaTech and Md all have HUGE sports scenes going on, seemingly 24-7-365. State schools are like that.

If you are looking for engineering, then VaTech and Clemson are the strongest.

Ghostbuster- you are a a well-spoken and thoughtful poster. Thank you.

I’m surprised the extremely anal members of the CC community haven’t attacked this spelling of ‘academically’.

So… I guess I will?

haha… I don’t care about spelling on blogs… sorry…

This isn’t a blog.

haha okay… well what ever you call this… it isn’t very formal so yes i am not going to capitalize my “i”.

anyways. When i visited furman and clemson i just kinda got a feeling i wouldnt fit in

It’s called a ‘forum’ or ‘message board’…

Umd and vt.
