Hey just looking for some input. I was accepted to both schools, majoring in accounting.
any input would be appreciated. thanks. also, which business school is more respected?

According to BusinessWeek’s rankings, Virginia Tech has the 54th best business program while Clemson is 62nd.

I had the same tough decision than you, I spent April going back and forth between Clemson and Virginia Tech. I liked Clemson the best but liked Virginia Tech too and Virginia Tech has a much better reputation for engineering. (If you search on CC Clemson vs. VT or something like that, i probably have most of those posts haha)

I chose Clemson and I’m happy with my decision. But you can’t go wrong with Virginia Tech either. Good luck making this tough decision! Definitely go visit both schools like I did, and take a look.

yeah i visited both, loved them both haha. they just seem so similar, but i like the fact that clemsons smaller

Both schools are great. When I lived in Va, VT was my sons goal but after moving to SC Clemson became the goal. I have been to both and think they are about the same when it come to looks, might give VT an edge because the great stone buildings.

I would say that as far as the sourrounding area goes VT is much much more in the middle of nowhere than Clemson. By that I mean Atlanta or Charlotte in 2hours, beach in 3 vs well look at the map.
They also get colder weather and a lot more snow.

I think either would be a great place to go and you could not go wrong, make your choice knowing that they are much more alike than they are different. (IMHO)

Academics aside (too close to legitimately weigh strengths and weaknesses) Clemson is superior to VT because:

Wouldn’t you rather be a Tiger than a Hokie; and

Clemson Blue Cheese rules.

Lets see A Tiger or a weird Chicken??? HAHAHAHA That sounds like a USC vs Clemson argument!!!

PS. Would you really want Mike Vick at your Alumni meetings ;( (I know not fair but it is funny)

all valid points hahah.

alright that’s taking it too far…the VT shooting could happen anywhere

Hey to be fair, I in no way brought that up. I have a friend who was there that day droping off his twin D’s for for thier Junior year. He was an hour away when it it the radio. He made it back in much less than an hour! He was with another friend who was dropping off his child as well, they raised quite a fuss trying to get info about where the kids were.

Fuuny part was they were in uniform (US ARMY General and full bird Col.) as they had been on the way to Wash DC, from what I understand they got the answers as fast as they asked the questions and shared it with the gatherd parents who where there.
