Twin mom here also! Boy/Girl both applied to Clemson No news yet, praying they both get in. I agree going to the same school would make things a lot easier!
Wow, I hadn’t thought of the impact of masks on twins and how that would make it less noticeable! I love what you shared with your twins experience. I will definitely find a way to drop that information into a conversation with my girls! Thanks for sharing!
Yes, it definitely would! And boy/girl twins… no one would even know they are related (unless you have a VERY unique last name!)
Daughter who graduated last year, son who is a sophomore and a HS senior who is doing a good job seeming disinterested… In at Bama, Miami Ohio, waitlisted at Auburn (not sure how that happened), Miami is a more competitive school… But the waiting is so much fun! Good luck to all!! Its a great school, my kids truly love it down there!
My daughter has been accepted to Alabama, App State, Tennessee and College of Charleston. She is still waiting to hear from University of South Carolina and Clemson. The process has definitely been longer and more exhausting than we expected.
My D18 is at Clemson. D21 Admitted to Bama, Miami of Ohio, UDel, UMD and Wisconsin. WL at UNC. Nothing from Clemson. I guess she will hear next week. However she has ruled it out anyways as she wants to go someplace different than her sister.
Does anyone have an idea of when we can expect a big drop of decisions or if they will just continue to trickle out?
We visited UVA in September and it was like that. Not the best impression for my son!
Clemson has not said anything specific but I believe it will be a big drop within the next 2 weeks or so.
I am wondering my chances of being admitted to Clemson. It is my top choice and I applied back in august. I am an OOS student applied to engineering. 3.9 weighted gpa and 33 act. 3 sports lots of volunteering and awards. Completed a engineering award as well (4 years of classes). Any reading on my chances? Because of all the applicants I’ve almost given up hope for getting in let me know if you have any similar stats on your kids who got in or not.
Also I should add I have 3 alums in my immediate fam (mom uncle aunt)
Deadline for priority decision is 2/15 so should be no later than that for the big drop. My guess is 2/12 at the latest because 2/15 is a holiday.
Hi! I’m not sure if engineering program tougher to get in but my OOS daughter was accepted with similar/lower stats into Health science program. She applied end October and accepted mid December. 31 ACT and ~ 3.9 GPA unweighted; but she did work really hard on essay/personal statement and has good ECs incl. competitive dancer for 11 years and student athletic trainer at high school. Good luck!!
Thank you!! Congrats to her she should be proud!
Thanks!! Wish you best of luck
You will undoubtedly get in with your numbers being what they are.
Signed a fellow 2021 who got just got in 12/9 applying right around Thanksgiving break.
Hi – hang in there. My daughter (applying to health and sciences) got accepted about a month ago, but her boyfriend (applying to Engineering) with higher ACT (34) and about the same GPS (3.8 unweighted) hasn’t heard anything yet. In fact, none of my daugther’s friends who applied to engineering have heard anything.
Thank you for this info. Makes me feel much calmer about the coming week
I have seen several people mention that Clemson only notifies about 5% early. Obviously, Clemson’s acceptance rate is much more than 5% so that means there are many students who are still waiting that will get accepted. So, hang there!
Anyone know the chances w a 1340 SAT, 3.8 gpa, 6 APs, 8 honors, 2 sports captain of 1, a bunch of extra curricular a, OOS😬
