I just asked on TikTok about the email, and Clemson replied… due to the large number of decisions being released, they cannot guarantee the time the delivery will be sent.
i’m so over this. not a fan of how they have handled admissions this year.

They did say wait for the email that says status update so maybe just wait for the email instead of refreshing the portal
Agree. Every university my kid applied to handled this year so much better.

People who have already gotten in have said the email came like 30 minutes after their portal updated but hopefully the email comes right when the decision is posted
so we’re thinking 6pm? also the email has nothing to do with the decision every school sends you an email saying there’s a decision and some schools don’t even send it until the next day. the only way to know right when it comes out usually is just checking the portal.

I was accepted back in December. I got the email at 7:20 PM. I don’t know what time my portal changed before that. Good luck everybody!

I mostly agree, but Auburn delayed my son’s decision by 2 months because his transcript and ACT score were received the day after the EA deadline. Every other school gives a buffer to receive the documentation by a week or so. Auburn was clearly overwhelmed by the increase in volume and must have used whatever they could to spread out decisions as a result. For that school, getting your housing deposit in ASAP makes a huge difference because freshmen aren’t guaranteed housing. Auburn was top 2 for him until that. Now they’re 4th.
In contrast, Clemson has not changed their decision date for him as mid-February. Are we frustrated because others got decisions before his? Sure. Is the portal horrible? Sure. But others have definitely handled this worse.
