<p>Bridge to Clemson: program begun in January 2006 to enable more students to have access to Clemson</p>
<p>Students are housed at Heritage at Riverwood2 bedroom unfurnished apartments with washer/dryer</p>
<p>Students can use Clemson recreation and health facilities (Fike), can participate in ROTC, marching band, and intramuralscan have meal plans at ClemsonStudents DO NOT get tickets to football games or mens basketball gamesstudents CAN attend other sports events for free. CAT bus runs to Clemson. Students cannot participate in club sports. 937 students offered spots 232 enrolled 1036 averge SAT</p>
<p>88% are SC residents--32 of 46 counties representedstudents must earn 30 hours of transfer credit with 2.5 GPA in order to go to Clemson as sophomorestudents must live with parents or in bridge housing</p>
<p>Cost is $10,148 for first year. Students have special bridge ID. (Clemson cost is $16,724 without computer)</p>
<p>Certain majors NOT available through bridge program: architecture, communication studies, construction science, early childhood education, elementary education, health science, landscape architecture, nursing,</p>
<p>secondary educationsocial science, visual arts---all of these programs have competitive change of major requirements</p>
<p>Students in the bridge program are TriCounty studentsfinancial aid and housing are arranged through TriCounty. 231 students in program nowprogram expansion is under considerationif program expands transferring to Clemson will become more competitive</p>

<p>3) Give a complete listing of activities for consideration for Calhoun and National Scholars programs.</p>
<p>Housing assignment is based on application date. Apply early.</p>
<p>Tours are offered 7 days a week. Tours are given on Sunday afternoons. On Friday afternoons special engineering tours are offered.</p>
<p>Students must apply by Dec. 1 for Feb. 15 notification. The freshman application deadline is May 1.</p>
<p>There is no early decision process. Students who are offered university scholarships (Coca-Cola, university recruiting) can receive acceptance letters before Feb. 15. Last year 2000 students received acceptance letters before Feb. 15. Students who have full ride ROTC scholarships will receive a comparable offer from Clemson. In order to receive Feb. 15 notification, all materials must be received by Feb. 1.</p>
<p>DECEMBER SAT and ACT tests are the last tests that can be used for Feb. 15 admission notification.</p>
<p>Transfer students are notified on rolling admissions basis.</p>
<p>95% of applications last year done online. Students must use credit card/electronic check or a fee waiver. Students can use SC CHE website SCHOLAR application. Paper applications are available. They will mail if requested.</p>
<p>Writing score must be available for test used to admit student. WRITING SCORE IS NOT PART OF ADMISSIONS PROCESS NOW. When enough data is available, it may be considered. Average score for admitted freshman last year was 577.</p>
<p>New majors: bioengineering, production studioaudio, biomedicine, fiber and polymer chemistry(formerly textile chemistry), language and international health, and community recreation, sport, and camp management</p>
<p>Scholarships: All merit scholarships are awarded based on application for admission.</p>
<p>Palmetto Fellows recipients will receive $2500 scholarship from Clemson.</p>
