Clemson Nursing

My DD was accepted into their Nursing program. Can anyone with experience tell me about it? She’s currently trying to decide between Clemson and Tennessee. We are planning on a Nursing visit soon, but would love to hear from someone who’s already been on the Nursing tour or who is already in the program. Thank you!

Congrats to your D. My d is a sophomore nursing student at Clemson . She hasn’t started clinical yet but so far absolutely loves Clemson . D turned down a lot of other nursing programs to go to Clemson including UVA, Pitt , and other strong programs . She has never looked back . The faculty is very supportive and really want the students to succeed . D has met so many great people at Clemson . She is also very active in other clubs and activities on the campus and is thriving . She is in the class that was accepted prior to the new arrangement with Greenville Health system which is going to really grow this program . I am very impressed with Greenville Health System and believe that the students at Clemson will be very prepared upon graduation. I can’t say enough good things about Clemson. Good luck to your daughter . I would definitely visit.

When did you get your letter, and would you mind sharing her stats? We are OOS waiting to hear and daughter has already been accepted into Tennessee’s nursing as well!

We got the letter a few weeks ago. I don’t know all of her stats, but she was a 30 ACT, 1300 SAT, top 10% of class of over 600 students. UT is offering a better package, but she really loved Clemson when we visited last Spring. We just don’t know much about their Nursing Program.

Are you in state?

There is an accepted nursing students day on March 31st. I’d try to attend that to help get your questions answered. http://www.clemson.edu/visit/spring-blitz.html

@caseyl123 have you heard if you were accepted? Others in our area received acceptances today, but my daughter and her friend (both nursinging) haven’t received anything yet. Wondering if it’s our mail or if there’s some delay for nursing majors.

@charlestonmom Unfortunately, she was wait listed. Oh well, I guess we move on. Good luck to your daughter and her friend. Please let us know how it turns out!
