I am a transfer student heading into Clemson’s engineering program. I have decided that I really want to continue playing college lacrosse so I am interested in joining Clemson’s club team, but I also want to rush. Is it possible to both be in a fraternity, play a sport and have time to study?
It depends on a number of things:
- How quickly you learn new material and how disciplined a student you are.
- How much time club lacrosse spends training, competing and traveling to competitions, and is it just one season or year round?
- Can you arrange your academic schedule to be "lighter" during your pledge semester?
- What type of grades are you shooting for?

For most people, I’d be inclined to say “two of three, but not all”… but a truly disciplined and exceptional student might be able to swing all three and do reasonably well.
