I am trying to prep up for the Biology CLEP but I want to keep focused to the material at hand and eliminate any unnecessary studying.

On the clep website there is an outline of what specifically is covered on the exam. As for focused studying, the ap review books are fantastic! You can probly find an older one on amazon for under $5

Also remember that you only need to PASS the exam, not get a perfect or extremely high score. You should have already verified with your college/university what they will accept as a passing score. If it is the ACE-recommended ‘50’ this equates to a ‘C’ student’s work. If they require a number somewhat higher, you should know this as you are preparing. There are some “testing out” students who kick themselves for spending too much time studying if they just need to pass the test, whereas there are others who put high expectations on themselves to do the absolutely best they possibly can.

Google “CLEP” and “Biology” and you should come across some other study resources and recommendations. Also, don’t forget to try the CLEP practice test for biology – available from their website as a download for $10.
