How I should prepare for CLEP Biology Exam ?
First, take a look at the practice exam for this test. You can either locate a CLEP Official Study Guide book (many times at your local public library) or pay $10 on the CLEP website after setting up your account for the download version. Taking this practice exam will tell you how much you already know, then you can direct your studying to those areas that you are either unfamiliar with or do not have enough knowledge of. Yes, the REA program is considered a good one, but first check out your current knowledge.
You will also want to know what your school considers a passing score for this exam. Schools across the country are different, so it is important to know if you only need a scaled score of 50 (like many and like the American Council on Education recommends) or if you need a higher score (I have heard of requirements as high as 70). Just remember, this is a scaled score, not a percentage, with the lowest possible score a 20 and the highest possible score an 80.
I am thinking about taking the Biology Exam as well, but I am not going to take it until next year. What I am doing now is using books for AP Biology and SAT Biology subject test… think you can start from here too, since they are all about biology, so whatever. of course you can always purchase CLEP biology exam prep books.
