...or will the book not cover the same areas?

Like could I just use Princeton Review's Cracking the AP Bio Exam and get a 50 or higher on the CLEP?

Also, anyone know of any free online lectures? Thanks.

Generally, folks who take an AP are well prepared for the corresponding CLEP. Look at the description of the CLEP on CollegeBoard.com and compare the topics covered with AP. It will probably be similar. The big difference, of course, is that the Bio CLEP is purely multiple choice.

Often, colleges don’t give lab credit for CLEP, but they do for AP. Check with your school…they might make you take their course anyway if they insist on a lab.

Yeah, I know I won’t get the lab credit, but labs are 1/3 of the cost of other classes here.

Pick up the official CLEP material at your public library, or order it from the College Board website, and compare it to AP and SAT II prep material for that subject. There probably is quite a bit of correspondence. Good luck!
