Clinical Lab Science and Economics double major?

As I continue strangling with what to study I have question regarding the intensity of coursework for CLS. I got admission into UT Austin college of natural sciences for neuroscience but I really don’t think I can study neuroscience since the only profitable neuroscience jobs are through med school or computer science which don’t see likely for my future. A career involved with biotechnology seems interested and health law. And health economics seem interesting too. Would double majoring in these two things be A.) plausible without taking an extra year B.) a decent way to make an alright salary in case I chose to get a job straight out of college for a few years before going to some sort of graduate school, and C.) a good combination of majors to get involved with the biotech field?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Anybody with any experience with medical lab science?

You can go into biotech with a major in neuroscience, if you wanted.

A lot of research associate positions in biotech don’t require a major in clinical laboratory sciences - just a major in a life science plus lab experience. Clinical laboratory sciences is mostly for working in medical labs identifying and diagnosing diseases, and biotech is different from that.

I don’t know how helpful the economics double would be unless you wanted to go into the business side of things - I’m think that a minor in computer science or math or statistics would probably be more useful.

Yea I’m pretty interested in the business or law saide too. Also it feels like that would give more safety in job options
