How hard is it to get into this program, I’ve heard it’s relatively new also tisch students is it possible to double major in a different college when in NYU for example can a tisch student major in something at gallatin or stern, or only CAS?

Hi, I was just wondering if you ever figured out the answer to your question. I am in the same dilemma right now, and I wish to apply to the program. Let me know! Thanks!

I do not know the acceptance rate into this PROGRAM and you should inquire directly with the school to find that important piece of information. That said, you also have to get into NYU itself academically and NYU itself accepts 25% (and you should look up the academic stats of admitted students to see if you are in the ballpark). I imagine the acceptance rate into the Clive Davis program to be LOWER than 25% (I just don't know how low) because there is a portfolio involved (see the requirements) which is a subjective type of review and all programs at Tisch have one and the acceptance rates are lower than to the overall university.

If you are in Tisch, you could double major in CAS but not Gallatin or Stern.

Please realize that you need to be a strong student to get into NYU. My nephew is an applicant right now for recorded music programs and didn't even apply to Tisch as he is not in the ballpark academically. So, look beyond that they offer this great program and look at NYU overall to see if you have any chance academically as well. Then, find out through Clive Davis, the admit rate into their specific program. Look over the requirements of what you have to submit and start accruing the experiences you would need so that you have an attractive portfolio to submit.

The program receives over 300 applicants and only selects about 32 applicants each years that makes the acceptance rate about 10%…probably even a bit lower. The key is to make a really good portfolio.

has anyone in this forum been accepted into the Clive Davis department? I would really like to know which kind of stuff they sent to see if I have some sort of chance in getting in.
