<p>I remember reading that it was less than ten miles away, but Santa Monica beach seems to be the closest i've found which is about 13 miles.</p>

<p>Maybe the Venice beach is slightly closer depending upon where you get off the freeway.</p>
<p>I don't know if it's the closest, but there's also Dockweiler Beach.</p>
<p>Well, I don't know how to tell you this, but any beach is going to be pretty darn close to that big blue wet thing to your west. :p Since there's no ocean within a ten mile radius of USC, it would follow that there isn't any beach.</p>

<p>As the crow flies, Dockweiler is 10 miles from campus.</p>
