Hi! I was interested in ED-ing at Rice and I was wondering how the club scene was.
I had an overnight visit to Rice and it seemed like everyone I met just partied or went out with their friend group all the time. Are clubs not popular at Rice?
Also how is the A cappella scene? I know about the different groups but I was wondering how known they were.

Clubs aren’t popular at Rice. The large party scene is dominated by public parties thrown by the residential colleges, and the smaller party scene is mostly stuff that goes on on the “party floors” at the residential colleges. That might just be residents of the specific floor, or it might include friends from other parts of campus! An important thing to understand about Rice is that social life is centered on campus and not off.
