CMC Academic Scholarships 2012

The countdown begins.

when in february does cmc notify about scholarships? is it at the same time as ED2 notifications (feb 15)?

I heard back on February 4 last year, exactly a month before McKenna Weekend.

This is referring to any one of the merit scholarships that CMC offers?

I only know about the Seaver and the McKenna, sorry.
I think ISS may know earlier since it’s before McKenna Weekend, but that’s just my logical guess.

Are we notified if we are rejected as well?

When’s Mckenna Weekend this year?

february 4 was a friday last year, and tomorrow is friday, february 3… what do you guys think the chances are of CMC notifying people tomorrow? (if so, will it be 5pm pacific time?)

Do they notify for ED2 this early? I thought it was around the middle of the month.

it seems like they notify finalists for merit scholarships a little bit earlier than ED2. in my case, i’m waiting for both ED2 and scholarship notification.

just to clarify - this might seem like a kind of stupid question - if you’re a finalist for the scholarships, that means you’ve been accepted to CMC, right?

I would think so.

Unless you do something extremely stupid, you are accepted in every way except officially through the letter.
Although I’m pretty sure Early Decision finalists are in no matter what; they tend not to rescind admission. If you are not a finalist, they don’t send you anything until your admission decision is officially available. I think the admission officers said something about it on the Facebook page at one point.
Good luck everyone!

Invitation received in last 30 minutes. Approximately 50 invited for both McKenna and Seaver. Interview weekend March 3-4.

Well, my Friday night just got ruined. It was scholarship here or nothing. UChicago '16 it is! =/

But in all fairness, congrats map174; that’s excellent! :D

HYPS, CMC has a no loan policy, ensuring need-blind admission for all applicants. Their financial aid is extremely generous.

Via e-mail?

Invitation via email.

Have the invitations all been sent out?

Do rejected students also get e-mails?

This is what was posted on their [Admissions Facebook page:](http://www.facebook.com/CMCAdmission/posts/332747776746814)
