<p>I just got this email this morning. Do you think that it is authentic? I did not apply for the scholarships.</p>

<p>Greetings from Claremont McKenna College!</p>

<p>We have extended our application deadline for the Seaver Leadership Scholarship (full tuition merit scholarship) and the McKenna Achievement Award ($10,000 merit scholarship) from December 1 to December 20. To apply, be sure to check the box on the CMC Supplement. Also, please send your Common Application and CMC Supplement to us on the same day.</p>

<p>I bet they didn't get enough people applying, and wanted to look at more applications. That's the only thing that makes sense. If you're applying for scholarships, now, add your name to the who's applying for CMC scholarships thread!!</p>

<p>Really? I'm not sure this is true, because both the website's calendar and the deadline page say that the scholarship deadline is still 12/1. Oh well, it doesn't make a difference to me, as I already applied... unlikely to get anything though. :o</p>
