I was fortunate enough to get acceptances from many great schools, but I eventually narrowed down to these four:
- Claremont McKenna College
- NYU Stern School of Business
- Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business
- USC Marshall School of Business
So far, here are the factors that I like/dislike about each school:
• Claremont McKenna
- PROS:
- LAC
- small student body
- the Claremont Consortium
- phenomenal economics program
- most students living on campus
- CONS:
- small campus size (I know it may seem weird that I like its small population but not its small campus... but yeah.)
- lack of racial diversity
- too much drinking
- small campus size (I know it may seem weird that I like its small population but not its small campus... but yeah.)
• NYU Stern School of Business
- PROS:
- New York City!
- guaranteed housing
- strong finance program
- CONS:
- no traditional college campus
- cutthroat atmosphere
- big student body
• Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business
- PROS:
- strong in Management Information Systems
- strong computer science program, which I want to minor/double major in
- CONS:
- Pittsburg
- ugly campus
• USC Marshall
- PROS:
- LA
- strong alumni network
- entertaining in general (big football games)
- CONS:
- housing not guaranteed for junior & senior years
- not as strong in the field of business as NYU or CMU
- big student body
Weather and tuition do not really matter to me.
Any suggestions or insights?
