CMU and potentially Med School?

Quick question from anyone who knows about this subject. How is CMU for say a Biology major in the Mellon College? Are the grades really difficult to get, is it a lot of time, etc.? What do medical schools think of CMU, especially since it is not necessarily known for its Biology major, but rather for fine arts or engineering?

Thanks!

Yeah...I have same the question like you, but I think CMU is not good for preparing med-school "superficially"; I mean some schools offer several information and advices about what kinds of courses stduents need to take in the undergraduate schools to get into a Med/Den/Pharm school, what kinds of internship are really googd for some graduate schools, what kinds of test you have to take, etc.
For example, one school offers pre-med program. An advisor will guide to a student about becoming a doctor or getting into medical school what courses need to take and how many credits need. So the advisor gives you a course lists: to go medical school -> Biology20&21 with lab/ Physics 11&12/ Chem 92&12 / writing seminar.......something like that.
So you can plan....in freshman year, "I need to take...this one and this one...."; in junior...... in senior....aftermath, you can get all credits or knowledge easily to become a medical school student (to summarize, a student can just follow the school program)

However, in case of CMU, I think you need to search yourself what courses that CMU offers are related with....this credit for going to med school........

CMU offers just natural fields of studies about science rather than about professional program such as pre-med/pre-law/pre-den/pre-pharm...
