Same here

I'm worried I won't feel like I'm part of the program because I'm not living there. I mean, I know I'm not the only one, but it seems like a lot of the program revolves around being a resident. Not to mention I'm only taking one class.

It will probably revolve around the dorm life for the first week, but probably not so much afterwards.

I should be packing right now. I'm not.

I'm almost fully packed. I have to dismantle my computer setup and bring my TV downstairs. I also have to get all my clothes together. We're doing a final load of laundry tonight.

PARTY IN MY ROOM! Haha. You're all invited. ;)

My mom says I'm screwed because I'm horrible with humid heat. That's why I'm bringing two desk fans, a personal fan, and a 2 foot wide box-fan.

BTW. My computer has an Ethernet hook-up ready, but I can't seem to find the modem. It should have one, figuring its a Windows Pentium 4 from Dell. Do I need a modem and/or and internet provider to hook up to the network? Is internet access provided by the network or is it personal?

I have no idea about internet there. I don't know if I'll even ever bring my computer to campus. Ahh, the joy of having a laptop.

I basically only have to pack clothes. Well, in addition to my computer, my summer homework for AP classes, and other various little items. I'm debating whether to bring my printer. It's small-ish and wouldn't take up too much room, especially considering my family is taking two cars to Pittsburgh (well, they have to leave me one). But I don't know. My grandparents do have one, but last time I tried to use it, it didn't work. Not sure I wanna take the risk.

We should all totally meet up at some point. We need to arrange something.

Ok...I'm going to go start packing now. Maybe. I really hate packing.

@diginetgod All you should need is an Ethernet port which im sure you computer has or a wireless card. There will be tech people there that can help you set your computer up and get on the network so you shouldn't have any trouble.

I'm pushing packing off too tomorrow, cause I can just leave sat morning at like 3. :) Hooray for procrastination!

Well, I have packed now. But only because my dad made me.

Ahh procrastination...the love of my life...
Thanks, Fardunwaith.

And congrats on packing. I only hope your family and my family has enough room in the respective car. I really hope we take my mom's Toyota Matrix instead of my Dad's Honda Accord, simply because the Matrix is noticeably bigger and I feel less suffocated.

I hope to see you all soon!

Yeah, I'm glad I'm pretty much done w/ the packing.

Are you guys going to stay on this throughout the program? Because I have a feeling I might need someone to talk to.

Lol, ya who knows how this is gonna be like, we might have to get in touch there. Still not packing :)

Yeah...I propose we all keep talking on this board throughout the program.

Works for me, we can keep a little running commentary on the side.

I'm quite excited to meet everyone! :)

I'm trying to keep up a blog that I started a week or two ago. It's a place I can post about my day or just throw up some random crap. Since I'll be missing my BFF for 6 weeks we're keeping in touch through emails and informed through daily blogs.

Ohhh. Nervous. Excited. Nerv-ited.

Nerv-ited. Good word.

I like the blog idea. I'm going to do one so I don't have to email or IM each of my friends individually.

We have orientation tomorrow! Yay!

That should be interesting...

Are you guys going to a lot of the orientation stuff? What things are you planning on attending?
