<p>Can someone explain what a CO-OP is? I know it is like an internship but better. How long does it last? Does it take away from the college experience? (As far as social life goes)</p>

<p>Actually from talking to current Northeastern students it doesn't take away from your social life at all.. if anything it gives you more free time because you don't have to study or do assignments for classes.</p>

<p>Many students also co-op together in the same companies which is kind of cool. In fact, some of the big Fortune 500 companies hire up to 100 NEU students every semester.</p>
