Oh, fun! Good luck to you too and maybe we’ll even end up in the same place!
Is the portal crashing for anyone else?
Got the email and super excited to be a semi-finalist haha! So you guys are notifying EA schools that you were selected??
Same question, I applied Stanford EA, I got Semi finalist, should I notify them?
Also does anyone know if it’s possible to access the old applications submitted? For my volunteer hours I rounded my hours off a bit (not by way too much), and I just don’t want there to be a discrepancy between my initial app and this one (should I even worry about that)?
Congrats everyone in so excited to be part of this and move on to the next stage of the application!
I think emailing them or calling them to let them know of this update is great and should be done lol
I am also a semifinalist and could not be more excited! Congrats guys! <:-P
Ahhh I am a semifinalist and am so happy! This was completely unexpected.
@usastudent101 I am curious about that as well. I was being honest, but my numbers may be a bit off. @CourtneyThurston

I don’t think I will have more than a 10 hour discrepancy so I think I will be okay.
Not to be a downer but remember that the first substantial cut is semi to regional finalist. Most of the first round applicants are either not competitive or never finished their apps, etc. 2000 semi finalists is a lot. 250 regional finalists is not. The semifinalist application is the real app.
“Does anyone know if this semi-finalist status will be a significant boost to our college apps?”
No.
I say no because 1) I was once a senior and none of my schools really cared, even when I won, and 2) the schools already know your stats and ECs, etc, which is why you were named a semi-finalist. The vast majority of semi-finalists won’t go on to regional finals. Most of you are probably applying to top schools, and nothing about having top stats or winning awards will distinguish you from that pool, because everyone else has top stats and is winning awards, too. It’s not special at a certain level.
Is anyone else having trouble accessing the portal? I can log in, and I can view the instructions, but clicking on the semifinalist documents and status bar only results in error.
Yes my portal is crashing.
Have you guys been able to access a list of Coca Cola semifinalists online?
Are semifinalists names posted online?
@penguin3 @SATurdays I don’t think they’re available online yet- I’ve looked everywhere!
Just selected as a semifinalist! Does anyone know if a few hundred volunteer hours is sufficient to qualify for the next round? I know someone mentioned that 1200 was the average, but I didn’t know if the admission committee allowed many deviations from that.
