COE H/SS and R&C Requirements and AP credit

<p>The R&C requirement under the H/SS requirement states that you need to take the 2 writing classes. Are these supposed to count towards the 6 H/SS classes, or are these 2 things separate, totaling to 8 required classes?</p>

<p>Also, how does AP credit work? For example, if I passed my Chem AP test, is it automatically counted toward Chem 1A, or do I have to fill out something to state I want credit toward it?</p>
