How much hard science is in this course, like maths/chemistry/numerical data style stuff?
What do you do in the labs?
I'm a philosophy major doing an exchange program and wanted to take this course alongside my philosophy classes, but I'm slightly concerned about the prior knowledge of science needed. Thanks

anybody? Would be greatly appreciated!

its an easy class, and no prior knowledge is necessary. it basically just goes into the basic topics of cog sci, so you don’t really go into detail with anything.

there were no science prereqs when i took it…you dont need an prior knowledge since it also satisfies a breadth requirement.

easy and interesting enough. choose your professor carefully though. ive heard carmena focuses on AI but I took it with a more Neurosci focused prof (she has retired since though) lots of readings-didnt do em all.

Thanks, you’ve reassured me a lot! What do the labs involve?

no labs lol. its more of a sit in the comfy chair and fall asleep type of class.

oh thats weird…it says 2 hours of lab and I had to sign up to a lab group…
