I am looking to transfer to Colby College for the spring semester this year and want to know what my chances are.
I currently attend University of Vermont as a freshman, I have 17 credits and my GPA is about 3.85 weighted for the first semester so far and my High school GPA was about the same for my senior year.
I am not submitting any test scores because it is not required.
I have an alumni rep writing me a letter of rec as well as an English professor that is very high up at my university.
I am super involved in community service, travelling, sports and work.
English major and my transfer essay is the strongest part of my app.
Just looking for a general idea of what my chances might be. I know Colby is pretty selective especially this year, and I know they admitted more than they usually do with the class of 2021 I heard. Can any successful Colby transfer students tell me their back stories? I know they only admit about 2-10 students in the spring so just looking to find ways to stand out against other applicants.
Anything is helpful, thanks!
