I’m wondering what chances I might have at getting into Colby as a transfer for this coming spring.
I’m a freshman at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, majoring in computer science. I have 33 credits here already (from AP classes) and am taking 16 this semester. My weighted high school GPA was a 3.89 and my unweighted was a 3.65. I also have a 35 ACT and I’m an AP Scholar with Distinction (5 on micro and macro econ and enviro, 4 on bio, and 3 on calc AB, english lit, and U.S. history). I’m also taking the math 2, biology, and literature SAT subject tests next month. Also a 201 PSAT and a 28 PLAN, if that matters. Had a few extracurriculars throughout high school but not a ton; I did win a state-wide economics award and led a presentation to my city counsel my senior year, however, as well as quite a bit of volunteering.
I came to the U of M because of the price, but I’ve really wanted to go to a Little Ivy; Colby seems to be a really good fit for me. I’m just wondering, do I have a chance at a spring transfer?
Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks!
