Colgate Admissions Notification

LOL

That was funny

Oh my god does this mean they’re not going to email their decisions?? I’m freaking out cause i live on the other side of the world. And i keep checking my email like a psycho. I refresh it every 5 minutes even though i know there’s nothing. it’s so depressing

thearchetypes,

It’s 05:23 am in Colgate now, so I hope they will emails us early in the morning. I am also international, from Georgia. Where are you from?

Hey all! So according to the frustratingly vague portal page, we should probably/maybe/possibly find out our admissions decisions today. Best of luck to each and every one of you! Let me know if you hear anything, and I will too!

Remember the admissions decision is not a reflection of your worth as a human being yada yada yada

Unfortunately, I don’t think the decisions are arriving today - maybe they’re mailing them today? If you look on the Colgate University Office of Admission FB page, they responded to someone:

“Adnan- We don’t anticipate any students will receive their decision today. Decisions will be released in a variety of ways depending on the actual decision and where a student lives. All students should receive their decision before the end of the month.”

Hey everyone! Colgate just tweeted that the letters will go out today!! You can use this website to try and estimate when your letter will arrive (thus far, it has proven to be pretty accurate for me): [Domestic Price Calculator](<a href=“Retail Postage Price Calculator”>Retail Postage Price Calculator)
Good luck!

Has anyone managed to see something like this under the Award Package for Year 2013-2014 on the Colgate portal?

"Need Calculation

Cost of Attendance
$59,675.00
Estimated Family Contribution
$XXXXX.00
Initial Need
$XXXXX.00
Outside Resource
$.00
Need
$XXXXX.00"

I wonder if they do this for everyone, regardless of status of admission.

Good luck!

Nooo they don’t do that for everyone :open_mouth: I guess you’re in. Congratulations!

Where are you logging in to see that?

So do they still gonna post the decision on the portal today??

It’s under Banner Self-Service (under Quicklinks on the Colgate portal)

There is no Self-Service link under Quicklinks :S

No? Another way to access it would be Add Content>Toolbox>Banner Self-Service (don’t ask me how I found it lol)

Nothing. just $0s. Congratulations, you’re in. Surely I was denied or waitlisted, which was expected anyway. Thank god I don’t have to wait for an email to tell me the bad news, though. haha :)

@cali

I see the page that you’re saying. Does it say anything about your expected enrollment status?

Does your EFC by any chance happen to be 2,083.00

I can see my financial aid status too! Thanks for the tip Cali! :)

Cost of Attendance
$59,675.00
Estimated Family Contribution
XXXX
Initial Need
XXXXX
Outside Resource

This is what I found. But I can’t pay 12k :D

Well then, you’re in too! Surely you can bargain.

@Vivaciousakrish I hope so! Good luck with your other decisions!

@Revisiter My expected enrollment status is “unknown”. Mine is 13k. So this is not a glitch =D

what about people who didn’t apply fin aid. I saw nothing on ‘annual award nomination’////:(
