Colgate Admissions Notification

Hey guys if it says my estimated cost is that the same thing? Its full sticker price so I didn’t get any FA so it says no awards

@biguk997 i think you clicked on “FA status” instead of Award>Award by Aid Year>Award Overview.

Wait it says expected enrollment status unknown too

probably rejected :/

Ah, not here to burst any bubbles, but I think that’s just the calculated financial aid required, and not indicative of the decision.

@smurfinator23 no prob :)

@biguk997 =O i have no idea what that means by the way. could it be possible that they precalculate every applicant’s EFC?

Then why are all the fields 0 for my case, including the estimated cost of attendance?

Did any of you submit the ISFAA in lieu of the CSS and still got that update?

@revisiter that’s what i think too! last year, rejected/waitlisted applicants received emails whereas accepted applicants received their letters through the mail. Fingers crossed to not receive an email from Colgate today :)

@vivaciousakrish I did.

ya Revisiter, but I see only 0s and I guess it means they didn’t even care about calculating rejections’ financial aid

I’m hoping that the fact that they are calling it an “Award” and not just estimated contribution or projected aid means that we were accepted.

This is the official message received from the school in reply to my question.

“All decisions will be released this week in a variety of manners (mail, express mail, FedEx, e-mail) depending on where a student lives and the decision. We anticipate all students will receive a decision before the end of the month.”

we have to wait and see

@Herc: did you use CSS?

I have expected family cont. of 12K. our annual income is 11K. I think there must be a mistake. Anyway, can I bargain to decrease family cont. if I get accepted?

@Revisiter no, I sent the ISFAA

Yep, then that aid overview thingy pretty much reflects your decision. :)

Do not panic guys. I’m guessing it’s only a calculation for those who submitted CSS.

I submitted ISFAA, but @revisiter might be right. Maybe they aren’t done calculating EFC for those who submitted the ISFAA.

cali2016 submitted ISFAA. I was hoping that the CSS thing was the cause behind it, but guessss all hope is lost now.

Yeah I just called the admissions office and they said that its not an indicator
They r sending out all decisions by the end of the week
