I wouldn’t hold out hope for any earlier than the 20th… just thinking about it realistically, they need time to put everyones packages together and last year decisions were mailed on a friday causing a lot of weekend stress b/c mail isn’t delivered on sundays. The choice for the 20th was probably made because if they mail them on a monday, everyone will probably have the decisions by friday
I wanted to send an update to Colgate (awards, new internship etc) I really felt it would reflect well on my application. But when I checked my portal today I got the same message everyone else got:
“…The application review phase is now complete. We plan to communicate our admission decisions soon…” :((
Should I send it anyway? I feel the new information can really make a difference
How can sending more material make any difference given that the review cycle is now complete?
Good luck with your college search!
Sorry @winterkomt. I think most schools accept new information until March 1 and then that’s it.
If anyone gets a FedEx notification, could you let us know?
The website makes it seem set in stone that they are going to mail the decisions on March 20- even though they have already finished.
why the delay though? I mean they’re done with the decisions. Someone said that it’s because they use this week to fill out packages. But it’s all snail mail so why don’t they just send each package when they’re done with it?
I am freaking out. I loved the college. I almost got rejected from Two schools and accepted into Two, but with no financial aid. It’s my last chance. I am freaking out.
@wuddayameen My portal changed too, it feels ominous indeed.
No, it’s not all snail mail. If you look at last year’s posts you will see that certain packages are sent by courier service. This may help explain why processing the notifications for a particular day’s release takes longer than you may like or expect.
Good luck with your college search!
I did not receive a portal for Colgate, but through the common app, it says that I applied. Is it too late to contact the admissions office?
@ooooooolala no harm is contacting them.
Does anyone know if they’re going to email international students when they mail out the decisions?
@trish123456 they email rejections and waitlists but not acceptances
@trish123456 that’s for internationals only btw; domestic applicants hear from mail regardless of their decision
@followonsoundcloud oh you’re the fuego fuego flame guy from the U of R thread! haha
@neuromaniac yoo
For domestic students, do they mail rejection letters or do they email them?
Snail mail in a skinny envelope-- both rejected and waitlisted.
Hey guys! International applicant from Egypt here anyone know if Colgate superscores the ACT? I have a 32 but 33 SS. Also, what do you think about a 32? Good enough?
they superscore
