New on this thread, I’m summarising what I understood. Please tell me if I got anything wrong.
Domestic Students: All decisions come by mail. Rejections, Waitlists and Acceptances.
International Students: Waitlists and Rejects are emailed. Accepted students will receive postal mail.
So if I inferred correctly, then where is the proof that international acceptance are not emailed?
If you have questions, I would contact the Colgate admissions office directly. I think a lot of us get too stressed out on this site speculating about what the acceptance procedure is based on comments from others and on threads from previous years. Just email or call Colgate and I’m sure they would be happy to tell you how and when acceptances will be delivered this week – domestically and internationally.
I understand why Colgate wants to mail its decisions, but they should really consider alternative ways. As an international student from Iraq, I hardly believe I will ever be able to recieve my decisions on time (there is a 99% chance I won’t even recieve the package)!
this is just a hunch and I repeat, a hunch.
I believe they’ll e-mail them at 5:00pm ET at the end of the work day so that they can hit the send button and just run out…
@serwar473 lol I’m Iraqi too, but I live in Dubai, but I completely agree because mail doesn’t go through to Iraq very easily (especially through U.S. snail mail). Good luck with the whole mail thing!
