I am a freshman at University of Redlands and am planning on applying to transfer to Colgate University. I had pretty bad HS grades (3.2 GPA, 1890 SATs) and not many EC's but I have a 3.9 at Redlands and made the Dean's list last semester and will probably this semester.
I really want to go to Colgate but it seems like getting in will be a long shot. One of my biggest strengths is writing but it doesn't look like there is a supplemental essay for colgate. Is there anything I can do to improve my chances of getting in? I want to show them that I did not put forth my full efforts/talents in high school but am mature and dedicated enough to now.

anyone?

Applying to transfer as well! Are you a sophomore or junior transfer?

I’m basically in the same exact position.
