Transferring as a Freshman, question and chances? please

<p>hi,</p>

<p>I'm currently a freshman at Colgate with a 3.75 (could be higher I know).
HS GPA: 94
SAT: 2200</p>

<p>What does it take (in terms of grades/ECs/ et cetera) to transfer to a better school, like Vandy, Penn, NYU, USC (CA), Columbia?</p>

<p>Would it help if I had a very compelling reason outside of academics to be at a certain school?</p>

<p>Finish your first year and try to get to a 3.8+ cumulative GPA. As of right now I think that only Vandy or USC are possible for you. Perhaps NYU too.</p>
