I know this subject has been beaten to death before, but since the SCG is wacky I thought it might be nice to have a single thread where VERY generous sophmores & up could post (or copy from previous threads) any thoughts they might have on frosh seminars they took (preferably with course number and title).

Taught by Neil Rudenstine '55. Very nice person; approachable. Good course if you've any interest in poetry at all. Work load mainly reading, with 3 or 4 short (4-6 page) papers and the very occasional preparation for leading discussion.

FRS 173, Dying for God: origins of martyrdom

I know absolutely nothing about this course except that it's taught by my old Latin professor, whom I recommend wholeheartedly. Um, probably not very helpful, but there you have it.
