These are on my transcript, and I did well on all of them, but I was wondering if colleges really care about these classes? They were high school classes that I took in middle school, and many of my friends also have them on their transcripts. It probably won't make a difference, but I was just curious.

Thanks

It factors into your gpa and gives you credit for high school credits, so yes I say they do matter. Less than freshmen grades tho, and thats saying a lot.

They don’t matter at all. Well actually, at my school, 2 8th grade classes (Math and Spanish) are technically high-school courses, so they are counted towards the GPA. But they really hold little, if any, weight.

It is a part of your PERMANENT RECORD - everything you’ve done since kindergarten provides information to be gleaned by the adcoms. Didn’t get into Harvard? Probably due to that unfortunate spitball incident in 5th grade.;)

Nope- unless it’s part of your high school GPA, it’s not considered.

Uh oh…I scammed a kid’s holographic Raichu pokemon card in the 2nd grade. Good bye Ivies.

My D took HS math on 8th grade doesn’t get included

I attended a lecture at an Ivy where the adcom said, “don’t tell us you won the National Spelling Bee; it’s not for high school students so we don’t care.”

Repeating what I was told. Truthful? I have no idea but he seemed genuine to me.
