Well I'm wondering if colleges have their own way of calculating your gpa. Well I've heard that colleges don't look at courses taken in 8th grade, and my school counts a couple high school classes taken in 8th grade toward my gpa. Do colleges count this or do they just count 9th-12th grade. I'm wondering because 8th grade was a bad year for me with an 84,(some bad teachers) while my 9-11 gpa was around a 95, so that 8th grade is really screwing me over.

Also is a rank of 50 out of 270 good for colleges like syracuse or boston U.
