hi, i am a senior.
in my junior year, i took ap calculus class but failed both sememsters.
I had one other ap class beside that class and got B for both semesters.
anyways, half of our class failed the class because his tests were extremely hard.
He used to say that his tests were for gifted students.
after I failed first semester, I did not drop because I wanted to give it a try again.
I wasn't lazy, I stayed up all weeks to do his homework but could not pass his tests.
I even had tutor but she couldn't solve many of his worksheets.
my junior year was horrible.
I guess I wasn't smart enough.
except that class, I had all A's and now I wondered what colleges would accept me.
I passed the AP test but I don't think admission officer would think that's good.
during summer, I took calculus class at nearby community college and got an A.
I knew the materials well but couldn't pass his tests.
I don't want to blame anyone and look back because it happened already.
But I want to know if there are any ways that I can do about it.
I was thinking about writing an essay about this incident but I don't want to criticize my teacher because it s negative essay. But I think I should mention my grade and how I treid really hard to do my best.
I am stuck. Everything I did for my future is gonna be ruin.
I LEARNED NOT ONLY MATH BUT IMPORTANCE OF MAKING A DECISION.
any advice.....?
thank you for reading.

Honestly, don’t think on it too much anymore. And it’s not going to ruin your future.

The great thing is that you’ve done extra to make up for that one glitch. The admissions officer will see that you can do extremely well on a standardized test and that by normal standards, your calculus level is just fine. Going to studying at a community college and getting a great score supports that even more.

You can write an essay on that if you want, as long as you show that you’ve grown and learned from it. Or you could write it on any other topic out there.
