College admission if you have commited a misdemeanor

Sadly yesterday i got caught with under age drinking I'm 18 years old and currently in high school and in the process of applying to colleges. I'm deeply depressed about this situation because I'm a good student and do very well in school. I have court on 30th of december any suggestions on what shoud i tell the Judge?

you, my boy, are screwed. sorry about that

It’s not like you have to prepare for it…

on the bright side, you don’t have anything on your record (at least yet), so you can honestly say on apps that you have never had a conviction. Maybe you should get apps in while that’s still true…

I strongly suggest getting a lawyer and not seeking legal advice here from well intentioned, but possibly misinformed strangers.

I work as an intern in a law firm. Given your situation, I believe the smartest course of action is to come clean and admit this onto all your applications. If uncovered after your college graduation, colleges legally have the right to take away your diploma.

Tell the the honorable judge that you will not drink again until you are 21. Say you made a mistake.

That said, chances are you are not going to college for the 2014 class. Go to CC, transfer to state school.

oh man, that sucks dude.
