College admissions is an unfair game.

LIVING is easier for the wealthy. So, yup, middle/lower income kids will have to work harder, but that's sort of a given. Some people have to clean their house themselves, others pay someone to do it... that argument can apply to most situations, and there's nothing we can really do about it.

Luckily, it's still possible. And if admissions doesn't work out, you can't blame income- sure, it's a factor, but it's not the biggest factor at all. The most important thing is what the student does, not what the counselor does.

And I also agree that it's nice to be poor once the financial aid comes in. Really. I have almost nothing to pay, which is BEAUTIFUL. I seriously couldn't be more happy. (Take note: apply to 100% need met schools!)

I am with Brillar. There are far, far more essential things than college that are unfair in that money makes a big difference. Medical care, for one. It is a capitalist society we have.

no i think its better to be the wealthy one who doesnt even need to apply for financial aid, afford the SAT prep, hire the best tutors, etc..

if you need a tutor for your classes, you don't belong at HYPMC....
