Isn’t the “don’t disclose at all” the motto of plenty of schools? That or the variance of disclosing numbers that will never reconcile with the official statistics reported later, and are for the most parts figments of the imagination of the admission officers. In comparison, an insignificant rounding error seems pretty pale.

@IvyLeaguer225 There was an article about Villanova’s EA class but they did not discuss the acceptance rate.

High school hopefuls with Villanova in their sights set a new University record with a total of 17,235 total applications to the class of 2020. With the intention of enrolling 1,670 of those students, Villanova’s acceptance rate will dramatically drop from its previous 48 percent.

At this time, a number of deposits have been received from those candidates who were offered early action acceptance, and the Office of Admissions is working diligently to review the remaining 7,857 applications received for regular decision.

For some reason, UChicago typically doesn’t release EA or RD stats until a month or two after the freshman class has already enrolled. You’d think they’d want to show off their declining acceptance rates.

this is disheartening…international students most especially Africans have no place in these American Universities. Even those who duely merit it. Something should be done.

@Mulch, please explain. What you are saying is contrary to everything I have seen while living in Africa and advising African students on attending US colleges. To be specific, I have seen US universities go to extremes to identify and admit African applicants, and to provide financial aid packages that include all costs including annual travel between the US and Africa.

Brown has the largest applicant pool in its history–32,280. This suggests that their overall acceptance rate will be around 8.0%, maybe even lower. Regular decisions come out March 31 like the rest of the Ivies.

This newly created scholarship program recognizes high-ability students in the Whiting School of Engineering, and presents enhanced academic and extracurricular opportunities for scholars to participate in leadership seminars, network with professional engineers, and work with a faculty mentor. In addition, the scholarship provides a grant that replaces the student loan in the Clark Scholar’s financial aid package.
